The first stage of the redevelopment of EnergyAustralia
Stadium commenced on Monday, 15 September 2003.
The major works to be undertaken in the first stage
of the redevelopment includes the construction of a
new Eastern Grandstand.
Below is an outline of the redevelopment:

Relocation of existing Eastern Hill corporate
boxes to the Northern and Southern Hills.

Construction of a new scoreboard on the Southern
Hill.

Construction of the Eastern Grandstand.

Permanent bucket seating on the Northern and Southern
Concourses.

Remedial work on the Western Grandstand, including
the upgrade of change room, media and spectator
facilities.
The construction will be carried out in the following
